About Joe Johns

Joe Johns is a guitarist/vocalist well versed in most popular styles with over 30 years of live and studio experience. Joe Johns started performing on stage at the age of 12, after years of trumpet and accordion lessons he found his true calling, singing and playing the guitar. Within a year of picking up his first guitar, he started playing live shows with garage bands and acoustic duos. Desiring to hone his chops beyond basic rock and pop music he sought out the talents of other highly skilled musicians and began playing shows and opened his first of three recording studios.

With twenty years of professional experience on the local music scene, Joe Johns has performed in several popular local bands as a vocalist and lead guitarist (“Saturn’s Child, Stargate and Paula Please). As a soloist Joe has developed a taste for classic and contemporary rock music with influences such as REM, CCR, The Beatles and James Taylor. Joe's love for music has brought him full circle. Joe owns AVMUSICPlus a retail music store and music school that has mentored thousands of students over the last 15 years. AVMUSICPLUS has created a top-notch team of local musicians, instructors, and music enthusiasts. They thrive on sharing their musical knowledge, skills and passion with fellow musicians of all ages and abilities.

Joe also owns The Sterling Group, Inc. a major multimedia recording studio that caters to corporate music and media needs. TSG has a highly skilled staff and provides world class products and services for all types of business and organizations.

Joe enjoys performing and touring and is always interested in building long term relationships with other talented, songwriters, producers and musicians. In recent years Joe has worked with several well received bands and artists composing, arranging, and producing. He also has production, songwriting, and guitar credits to his name in Nashville.

Over the years, Joe has produced a variety of shows and produced for corporate events, fairs, concerts, community concerts and private parties. Joe performs a solo guitarist/vocalist show suitable for concert, conventions, Cafe, Club and dinner theater.

Joe has been and is still currently a lead vocalist and guitarist, Producer and Songwriter Joe brings experience, heart and soul to his every performance to give it its unique sound.
